"Little black dress" cards

Who out there loves a little black dress? You know the kind that can be dressed up with a pair of great shoes & pearls or you could also wear ballerina flats and leggings with it for a more casual look.  No matter what you wear, it always makes you feel good about yourself! Well, I bought a little black dress recently and I love it! So in the spirit of "little black dresses", I pulled out the origami dress tutorial from HERE and made a pile of "little black dresses" for some cards. Here are some of my favorites!

Of course, I had to make a few with other colors, too...

Hope you are having a good weekend!

"Little birdie" gift bags

In preparing for my upcoming events, I am making some things that have been on my "to do" list for quite some time! I was rummaging through my scrap fabric and found a few pieces that had double-sided fusible web on them and decided to use them to make some cute little birdie gift bags (they are somewhat similar to the cards I made here). I love the colors and the uniqueness of using the same fabric torn into strips for the ties. And...of course there has to be a hand-stamped tag on it to finish it off! The bags are gusseted at the bottom so you can put all kinds of fun little gifts or party favors into them.

What do you think?

More events coming up!

Delicious strawberries from Sunnehof Farm in Mettmenstetten

Why is it that June is such a busy month???? I guess it has to do with end of school trips and events and summer finally arriving in Zurich resulting in more trips to the park, a trip to the farm to pick fresh strawberries (yummmmm!) and just getting outside now that it is not raining!  Well, this month is also busy for my little Bags, Tags & More business which I am quite happy about! I've just finished making 65 wedding invitations (French and Spanish) that turned out beautiful (I may be a little biased, though...), a baking kit for a a friend's niece and some other little orders that I finally completed. Here are a few photos!

I also wanted to let you know of a couple more events I will be selling my bags and paper products at in the next few weeks:

Eva, from Salottino in Horgen, will be holding a mini bazaar on:

Friday, June 21st
9:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00
Salottino Italienische Spezialitäten
Seestrasse 158
8810 Horgen

Claire and Sharon, the ladies from Bill & Bessie in Zurich, will be holding a coffee morning on:

Monday, July 1st
more info to follow - so check back here in a few days!

I hope you are having a good start to the summer! It has gone from cold and rainy in Zurich to HOT, HOT summer. Nothing like skipping Spring altogether...!

Be back soon!

It's raining, it's pouring...

...but not all were snoring! In spite of the dreadful weather, and when I say dreadful, think of pouring rain, strong winds and very gray skies for the ENTIRE day (plus the day before that, plus the day before that...you get the picture!), we had a good turnout for our first Summer Craft Market.  Many thanks to those of you who ventured out to support Dennise, Monica and I (and Miss A, too, who was selling a few cards and woven coasters/pot holders)!! Here are a few photos of my stand.

And here we are at our tables.

Have a wonderful Sunday and I'll see you again soon!
